Sitch Family | Mini Session

2016-12-02

I almost can’t count on one hand how many times I’ve had the pleasure of photographing the Sitch family! If you haven’t already, meet Kody, Brianne, Karson and Payton. The sweetest little fam! Each and every time I photograph them it gets better and better. I couldn’t stop smiling/laughing like a goof at my computer while I edited some of these images! I just love how much Karson loves his little sister. The entire session he kept reaching over to hug her or kiss her hand or pull her along with him. This little girl is going to have one amazing protector. All those future boyfriends better watch out! Although little P can certainly hold her own. A few times she would push Karson away and be like “okay, okay already.. enough” .. hahah. Watching the brother and sister relationship forming is such a fun thing. Makes me so excited for our little guy to be born and have a sibling one day!

Enjoy some of my favorites from our time together!

Lance + Justine | Speedwell Forge, PA

2016-11-14

Back when my husband and I were looking for our future home, I had one desire. That it would be on or near beautiful land that I could use for photography sessions! Well, we lucked out big time. Speedwell forge is surrounded by state game land filled with loads of hiking trails. And it gets better. A year after we moved in, the lake was refilled! HEYO! We have enjoyed biking, hiking, and kayaking along speedwell and love our little area we live in so much. Getting to use it for sessions this Fall has been so much fun! The reflections in the lake are like none I’ve ever seen.

When Nate and Justine hired me to do a 6 year anniversary session for them, I knew this would be the perfect spot! Justine and I have been “social media” friends for quite some time, but FINALLY got to meet in real life for this session, and I have a feeling we will be seeing lots more of one another over coffee and laughs in the near future! She was even so sweet to drop of a bag of goodies for me and our little baby boy on my doorstep. This girl is the real deal. A one of a kind gem! And Nate pairs with her perfectly with his genuine smile and kindness. What a power couple!

It was such a blessing to photograph them. Enjoy a handful of my favorites from the evening!

Micah | Senior Session

2016-10-18

Micah is a senior at Lititz Christian School, and eagerly waiting for graduation to make her big move to .. ALASKA! This girl is super driven, adventurous and sweet. I can only imagine all of the exciting things she’s going to embark on in her lifetime. Micah chose to go with our deluxe package, which offers two, one hour sessions (either on the same day or split into two separate days). This is such a great option for all you girlies out there who want to be able to style your hair differently (the daily struggle of curly vs straight is a real thing- ha!).

Micah split her sessions into two days, which was super fun. She went with a more natural, curly look for her woodsy session because she is a total nature lover. We photographed around Speedwell Lake for these. For her second session she wanted to go with something a little more edgy and urban. We photographed in some back alley’s of Lititz for this vibe. Her outfits were the perfect picks for each location.

Here are a few of my favorite shots that we captured!

Kelly Corey | Senior Session | Speedwell, PA

2016-07-20

Can I just say how much I love the Corey family!? I first met them when I photographed Katie Corey’s senior portraits in 2014. When her mom told me there were two more sisters on their way to being seniors I immediately couldn’t wait to photograph them in the future! This past Summer was Kelly’s turn! And let me tell you, these girls have been blessed with the cutest smiles and photogenic genes. We explored around a local park down the road from my house and I had so much fun getting creative with all of the foliage and perfect sunset. Here are a bunch of my favorites that I can’t quit looking at!

Amber | Senior Portraits | Style By Rae | Speedwell Forge, PA

2016-05-16

I absolutely love the fact that Amber selected our newest option for senior portraits – custom stylizing by Kelsey Courtney “Style By Rae“! Kelsey helped Amber style her entire session: the outfits, the florals and the props! Kelsey thrifted this amazing wooden chair and crafted a floral garland along the back. Kelsey also created a floral crown for Amber to wear, and ended the session with a beautiful mason jar scene (loads of mason jars filled with lit candles, hanging off of branches along the lake). It was such a dreamy evening! Kelsey nailed it on every angle, and Amber was such a joy to photograph!

Are you an upcoming senior!? Contact me asap to set something up + chat about all of the options we offer! :)

Style By Rae – Collaboration

2015-08-07

YOU GUYS. Julia, Tori and I have some big new’s we’ve been waiting anxiously to share. We are beyond excited to announce our new super exciting collaboration and team member. Kelsey Courtney of Style By Rae is officially the Meagan Nicole Photography team stylist!!! WHUUUUT. Shut the front door. No really, it’s true! Kelsey is an extremely talented stylist in all facets and we are so excited to mesh our love for capturing authentic moments with beautiful style crafted to fit your personality.

I’ve known Kelsey ever since 10th grade in high school. We both quickly bonded over the fact that we were the only girls in school who admittedly used a tanning bed. Ever since I’ve loved watching Kelsey evolve in her style; she’s always been one of my go to’s for social media style stalking (just to be honest). Even more exciting then her amazing style joining our team is the fact that she’s an expecting mama for the first time!! Follow her along on IG with her #ourbabycourtney updates, you won’t regret it. Although you might come down with a heavy case of baby fever and jealousy that this girl can rock just about anything with that bump.

We’ve been scheming up way’s to make the MNP experience even better for all of our clients, so when Kelsey contacted us with the idea we instantly knew this is what we were looking for to take MNP to the next step. This will now provide clients with the option of outfit styling, makeup/hair styling AND location styling. Whose ready to jump aboard the awesome train!? We’ve perfected a ton of new options and packages for you to choose from and we can’t wait to get started. Style By Rae is officially available to book, but dates are filling up fast (and I’m not just saying that). We want to get everyone in so please make sure to email us asap to get your date on the calendar! Side note, another awesome side fact: Kelsey’s husband is a can’t-keep-your-butt-in-your-seat rocking DJ and owns The Electric Gentlemen who we highly, highly recommend for any of you engaged love birds out there. Is this just the dream team or what..

xoxo,

Meagan Nicole Photography + Style By Rae

Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved clothes! I would change my outfit three times a day and I would turn my room into a make believe consignment shop! This passion continued as I began working in retail when I was 16 years old. My first retail job was at Bakers Shoes were I was trained in selling and styling. My love for styling grew as I moved onto working at the LOFT, where I was elected style captain of our store’s team! I was responsible for creating fashion inspiration for the LOFT employees and helping them style our clients!

Several years ago, I began an Etsy shop called, That Cat Dress, where I friend and I thrifted vintage, eclectic, and high-end clothing. It was so much fun searching for unique styles to sell in our shop! To this day, one of my favorite things to do is thrift vintage items and mix them in with my modern wardrobe!

I’ve been following style bloggers for years and I’ve gained so much inspiration from many of them that I decided to start my own style blog!  I finally took the leap and launched my blog, Style By Rae, in May of 2015. My main goal with my blog is to show trendy styles at an affordable price! – Kelsey “

Favorite Make-Up Choice: My go-to make up product is my Urban Decay Naked Flushed palate! It’s a trio compact that includes a bronzer, blush, and highlight! It’s so easy to throw in my bag and it looks beautiful on your skin during every season!

Signature Outfit Piece: My favorite item to add to almost any outfit would be a classic denim jacket. I throw my favorite GAP denim jacket over dresses and high-waisted skirts all the time! Recently I’ve been experimenting with mixing denim pieces and tying my jacket around my waist for a more edgy look!

Dan and Kara – Lifestyle Session

2015-04-08

I’ve known Dan and Kara for quite some time now. I shot there engagement photos back in 2013 and now had the pleasure of shooting their one year anniversary session this past Fall! Dan was my husbands best man in our September 2014 wedding, and Kara has been one of my closest girlfriends for the last year. It’s been so much fun growing together in the newly married stages of life, venting and laughing through all of the different experiences married life brings. Dan and Kara were also with us at the race that my husband Caleb recently broke both of his knees in. They’ve continually been supportive, kind, fun friends and we are so thankful for them in our lives! Something so special to me about this session was knowing Dan and Kara’s hearts, struggles, and joys then getting to capture their love at this special stage in life. To me, nothing beats walking through life with people in sincere friendship and then getting to capture them in photographs.

I also think the way Dan still looks at Kara in some of these images like he’s smitten is the cutest thing ever, and Kara’s unstoppable grin in reaction to her man is just plain adorable.

Kent and Ashleigh

2015-03-11

Kent and Ashleigh have been dear friends of mine for quite some time. We first met through photography because Kent is the mastermind behind Kent Mast Photo and Video. It’s a pretty cool story because I got to witness Kent and Ashleigh when they were first hanging out and Kent began to pursue Ashleigh with his whole heart to make her his girlfriend. Then they got engaged in South Carolina and I got to photograph it – so awesome. They celebrated a year of marriage and now.. a baby is on the way! And of COURSE I had them video my very own wedding day! There’s no one better in the business. If you have yet to hire a videographer let me tell you 1. You MUST. It captures your day in a way photos cannot, we highly recommend it, and 2. KMPV is the best you will ever find. So, so worth it. We always love when we get to work weddings together and often refer to ourselves as “the dream team”.

I had such a blast adventuring around  in the woods around my new home for these photos! During our session the perfect warm, summer time rain storm passed through and we took total advantage of it. These are hands down some of my favorite images ever. It doesn’t hurt that I’m pretty fond of the folks in them. They’re such sweet souls and I am so excited to watch them become parents! Thank you so much Kent and Ashleigh for your support over the years, business talks, spiritual talks, adventures and friendship. Looking back at these photographs I can’t help but smile at your pure, true love for one another!

Welcome To The Team Julia!

2015-01-14

 photo blog001.jpg

With 2015 kicking off we decided to share some exciting news with you! In 2014 we had the honor of hosting two interns Katherine and Julia. This year we are welcoming Julia to Meagan Nicole Photography as an official team member!!! Tori and I are super excited to have Julia as a part of the team. Julia has a passion and undeniable talent for photography, it’s been a joy getting to watch her grow and learn over 2014 and now we are so eager to not only see how all of our different styles blend together, but to see Julia begin to book her own weddings and sessions.  This is going to be one full, busy summer! We’ve booked some amazing clients already and are also looking forward to JULIA’S wedding on July 10th! My wedding last year, Julia’s this year.. who knows, maybe Tori will be next year! winkwink.

It’s so crazy for me to see this small photography business I started almost 6 years ago growing into this beautiful, creative team. Although our vision isn’t focused on growing to be bigger and bigger, it’s so awesome to see the doors the Lord is opening as we completely rely on Him. 2015 is going to be so, so good. We will be working on adding Julia’s portfolio + contact info to our website over the next couple months, but until then anyone who is interested in booking Julia please email her at jlfisher91@gmail.com to inquire for her 2015 collections and availability. I am so excited to introduce you to the third official team member of MNP, Julia Fisher (soon to be Horn!).

Julia:

I am 23 and have been photographing people’s special moments for around 5 years now. When I’m not doing photography I’m rockin’ two other jobs- a barista at Bakery At The Cupboard, and a receptionist at Pure Joy Salon. I enjoy being outside and hiking, having a jam sesh with my fiance on our guitar and ukelele, or vegging in front of the tv to watch Parks and Rec. Also, I like show tunes .. a lot. I like to sing them loud and proud in my car with the windows down. It’s really quite shameful.

I first realized my love of photography in 8th grade. I got my first “real” camera from my parents at 15 and started taking pictures of everything and everyone as often as possible. I didn’t go to school for photography because I was tricked into thinking it was more of a hobby then a possible profession. However, in the last year I’ve seen that it has brought me so much more joy then I realized. When you’re doing something you love and something you’re meant to do, there’s a new life that gets breathed into you. For me, that life was God’s way of telling me this is something I should press on with and pursue wholeheartedly. My growing portfolio includes weddings, styled portraits, maternity, newborn, family, and engagement sessions. My experience as an intern for Meagan Nicole Photography helped expand my knowledge of the art of photography, as well as nurtured my personal style: encapsulating raw emotion and genuine, natural posing. I am eagerly awaiting the 2015 wedding season to capture the excitement of new brides as well as prepare for my own July wedding!

Breanna

2014-05-14

When I was four years old my parents gave me the greatest gift I’ve ever been given – the joy of having a little baby sister. Ever since she’s been my protector, “tester”, playmate, best friend and now maid-of-honor. Having her in my life definitely helped make me who I am today and I wouldn’t trade her for the world. She’s got a spunky-quick-witted-humor, unbelievable dance moves, a passion for film and cooking/baking, and has a head of beautiful luscious locks (just to name a few of her wonderful traits). It’s crazy how fast time flies and how much Breanna has grown into a young, smart, talented, beautiful woman. From learning how to ride her first bike, learning how to wear makeup, to watching her go out with her first boyfriend, get her first job and driving around with her license in her first car. It’s an honor to capture this big year in Breanna’s life and I am so stinkin’ excited to see where the future takes her and what doors she will open.

This session leaves me smiling VERY big. The sun was on point, Breanna looked amazing and it was my first time photographing at my fiance and I’s house property! I could go on photo excursions here for days. So in love with these images and so pumped to be sharing them with all of you!

Until next time,

Meagan Nicole
