The Sauder Family
Tap, tap.. is this thing still on?
But for real.. are we still reading blog posts in 2026? Blogging used to be one of my favorite things back in the day (where are my OG Xanga millennials at). Then somewhere between creating a new website, the trenches of motherhood demanding more of my time and instagram reels taking over culture, I dropped off from blogging. I have always loved putting pen to paper or tapping away at my keyboard so blogging is something I am officially hoping to bring back into my regular routine. When I get simultaneously blog and share images that I have created, I combine two of my favorite things: photography & writing.
Life has taken on quite a different look around here lately. In 2025 my husband Caleb joined Piedmont Airlines (American Airlines regional airline) and I officially retired as a wedding photographer at the close of the 2024 season. Throughout 2025 I focused on portrait work (ie: families, newborns, maternity, etc). I photographed so many beautiful stories and seasons of life with clients I cherish so much. Sharing those sessions in blog form captures my heart in a way that sharing to my instagram feed just lacks. I hope to slowly start rolling out more of the content and sessions I’ve created over the last year. So today I am starting with the Sauder Family!
The Sauder family is beyond near and dear to me. Brandon + Marilyn were one of the weddings I photographed during my first official season in business. TIME FLIES. I will never forget swooning over them with my team member Kristen at the time. THOSE. EYES. We joked about how they were going to create gorgeous children one day. Fast forward and I get to photograph them and their children, on their beautiful property.. with baby goats!?!?!? Life is too cool. God is SO cool. What a gift it was to photograph them in such a full circle moment.
I now officially want my own homestead with baby goats and chickens and rolling hills and hydrangeas. Your girl has dreams. :)
Enjoy! - Meagan
