Daryl and Bri has such a fun wedding day! Their entire bridal party was so energetic and silly, which made for the most personable moments through out their day. The dancing, the toasts, the reception entrances.. don’t even get me started on those! Each “couple” had a unique entrance planned out with costumes and all. It was amazing.
This was my first bride/groom portraits that I photographed in downtown Lancaster City! We walked all around some of my go to streets and spots and it turned out to be so awesome. The lighting was killer that day! Most of all I just loved seeing how much Daryl loved Bri, and how much Bri loved Daryl. They’re truly best friends and make one another light up inside, which lights up the entire room they’re in. This day was such a joy to be a part of!
Here are a few of my favorite’s from their wedding this past June!

Two weeks ago, when the sun FIALLY decided to make an appearance, Lance and Courtney met me in Downtown Lancaster for their engagement session! We had such a fun time walking around downtown. We started out at the newest coffee shop “Passenger Coffee” which has the most beautiful aesthetic. Lance and Courtney are truly best friends, and they make anyone hanging out with them feel like their friends. I didn’t want to stop hanging out! That’s always a great feeling to have with clients.
I can’t wait for their October wedding this Fall! Until then, enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement session!

Where do I even begin? Josh and Carolyn are two of the sweetest, kindest, relaxed, adventurous couples that I have ever photographed. Do you know how I know this? Because their wedding day was in the middle of a BLIZZARD! Yes, the Jonas 2016 snow blizzard we experienced two weekends ago just so happened to be on their wedding day. But that didn’t make them stress! They completely embraced the blizzard and it made for some amazing memories.
Carolyn and I had been in contact with one another starting Thursday evening, coming up with all different plans depending on what the weather had in store for us. Friday I got the call that the wedding had been moved to The Marriott hotel at Penn Square in Downtown Lancaster. Josh and Carolyn’s family and friends decided to make a weekend out of their event and everyone stayed at the hotel Friday-Sunday. Caleb and I were so blessed to be offered a room for the weekend and decided what better way to get snowed in then at a huge hotel!? One of my favorite memories from this wedding was that my husbands work got closed for the day and he actually got to be my assistant for the day and shoot the wedding with me! It was so much fun being “stranded” for the weekend in our own little hotel room, walking the streets of the city and meeting up with some of our friends at a local bar. I was on such a high getting to work and do what I am most passionate about with my best friend by my side. He was such a big help and even captured some of the awesome images you’ll see below!
I was totally nervous since this was my first wedding I would be shooting entirely indoors. Being a natural light photographer I was so worried about lighting and backdrops, etc. But the entire staff at The Mariott was so helpful and pointed out some hidden gems through out the building. Side note: through out our stay at the Marriott I had never been so pleased with such great hospitality and service. I give them 5 stars and beyond! As soon as I put Josh and Carolyn by a huge window, that’s when the magic happened. I was so excited and obsessed with the windows + snow creating a sea of white, natural light. I am so obsessed with how they turned out.
Needless to say, this wedding was the most relaxed, intimate day. Everyone was snowed in together and Caleb and I couldn’t help but feel like we’d been friends with everyone forever! We felt so welcomed and appreciated.
Josh and Carolyn were all for going out in the snow to grab a few quick shots which was so much fun. The wind was whipping snow into my face and I could barely see a thing, but what I could see was all of us laughing and smiling and I thought to myself .. Gosh, I love my job.
Josh and Carolyn are expecting their first child and I couldn’t think of two people who are better fit to be parents. They are going to spoil their little babe with so much love, I just know it. It was such a blessing to witness their laid back, friendly attitude throughout the entire wedding day. These two are golden together.
Thank you so much to the entire staff at The Marriott, and to Josh and Carolyn’s family for all of the kindness and fun memories.
I am so excited to share these images with you all!

FRIENDS! Remember that one awesome time we added Kelsey Courtney of Style By Rae to our team as an official stylist!? Well it’s time to unveil the very first session Kelsey and I got to team up together for! Kelsey styled the outfits, hair, makeup and locations. Seriously, I can’t emphasize how important it is to consider adding on our new stylist options to make your session all that you’ve dreamed of. Kelsey is so talented at what she does and always aims to make her clients look and feel their best.
It also doesn’t hurt that this senior, Danielle Lehman just signed with a modeling agency three weeks ago and has already worked some jobs for Khols! Seriously, this girl has got all the model juice flowing through her body. She was the perfect kick off session to our MNP + SBR collaboration. It was the perfect sunny evening strolling around downtown Lancaster City. Kelsey did such a great job location scouting and picking out the perfect, creative and fun areas for us to use.
Seniors if you are interested in booking your portraits with us and wondered what the perks are to adding Style By Rae elements to your session here is a fantastic example of what you can expect: 100% on point professionally styled outfits, hair/makeup, props, location scouting and styling, laughs, fun hair whips, IG’s + PHHHOTO grabs. It’s a good, good time. Spots are completely filled for October on my calendar, however team members Tori and Julia still have openings and my November still has some openings! Contact us ASAP! We’d love to “shoot” you! 🙂
Now go on, drool a little bit…

I’ve been blessed to have Brent and Andrea as friends for about 3+ years now and I’ve known Andrea for about 6+ years! Almost three years ago I photographed their amazing destination wedding in The Duck Keys, Florida. I can’t believe how fast time flies. I love photographing friends/clients throughout all the wonderful seasons in their lives. Andrea has become one of my closest girl friends and she also is a Meagan Nicole Photography second shooter during wedding season! It was so fun walking around Musser Park in Lancaster City with Brent, Andrea and their latest addition to the family, TOBY! I like to refer to him as tobster, also known as Kemma’s (my puppy) boyfriend. It was basically love at first sight and their pretty inseparable when we have them together (except for when they’re wrestling one another for their toy back).
Brent and Andrea are such a sweet couple and obviously are dear to my heart. I am so thankful for their friendship, and my camera is forever thankful for their good looks and photogenic faces. Here are a few of my favorite shots from our evening together!

A few times each season I luck out with the dreamiest weather conditions for the session I am photographing. This folks, was one of those times. The sunniest, melt your eyes dusk sunset graced a little walking trail by F&M College in Lancaster City for my engagement session with Eric and Lisa. They probably thought I was wing-bat crazy by the way I was geeking out over the images on my camera. But once they saw them, they totally joined me in my parade of happy dancing around in excitement! It’s rare when the weather syncs up with your ideal setting and creates the best canvas for photos. S’good.
Shortly after our engagement session last Summer, Eric and Lisa tied the knot in the most beautiful Fall wedding on October 11th, 2014. It was so fun getting to know them at this session and then later witnessing them make their life long commitment to love one another forever. I swear I tear up every time. One of the reasons we highly recommend booking a package that includes an engagement session (or adding on an engagement session) is because it gives us a chance to truly get to know you as a couple before your big day; It makes it so much more personal. We always have so much fun adventuring around taking photos of you, laughing and talking and getting to know how you interact with one another and in front of a camera. It’s the best way for us to prepare how to best capture you. Eric and Lisa were so adventurous and up for anything I asked them to do! It was great. And their pups were so adorable – I love the bond between a man and his pet, it’s so special. I understand it even better now since having my own first puppy. It was so sweet, at their wedding while we were walking around in between poses Eric and Lisa and I were gushing over dogs and training and newly married life. I love when clients feel like friends I’ve already known for awhile! And now.. I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves because well.. they’re amazing and some of my favorite to date.

I’d never met Heather before but I’d seen her face so many times through mutual friends and social media. I was super excited when she contacted me about doing her senior portraits because I knew she was a super sweetheart with a big smile and kind heart. I couldn’t get over her adorable big brown eyes and perfect, thick hair! That probably sounds weird but, girls you know what I’m talking about.
We did two different shoots within one day- first half in downtown Lancaster City and the second half in a local, random field by my house. The sun was literally perfect and we just couldn’t stop snapping away. Love when that happens! Shoutout to one of her best friends and one of my go-to assistants Adelle- you rocked that whiteboard girrrrl.
Until next time,
Meagan Nicole
