The sweet Zimmermans were one of my favorite families to photograph to date. Ashlee and Galen recently welcomed their baby girl, Lincoln, to the world, and she will soon realize how lucky she is to have parents like them! And let’s be real- Haidyn is the most photogenic toddler around and (thanks to his mama) has some serious style! I was so glad to capture some of their early moments as a family of four! Enjoy some of my favorites from their session!
Cheers!

Two weeks ago, when the sun FIALLY decided to make an appearance, Lance and Courtney met me in Downtown Lancaster for their engagement session! We had such a fun time walking around downtown. We started out at the newest coffee shop “Passenger Coffee” which has the most beautiful aesthetic. Lance and Courtney are truly best friends, and they make anyone hanging out with them feel like their friends. I didn’t want to stop hanging out! That’s always a great feeling to have with clients.
I can’t wait for their October wedding this Fall! Until then, enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement session!

This was my third year to photograph the Sitch family! And this time was even more special because Brianne was pregnant with their daughter, who they welcomed to the world September 15th, 2016. She is just the sweetest little thing! Karson was full of energy and smiles as usual! Each year that I photograph him he is not only a little bit bigger but it’s so neat to see him developing such a fun, easy going personality!
We photographed this session in Herhsey, PA and I think it’s safe to say that I’ve found a new favorite location! The end of summer sunshine and gorgeous floral trellis added such beautiful elements to our session.
Here are a few of my favorites!

2015 was a bit of a crazy year for me with bookings. I was so blessed to be the busiest I have ever been with photography and because of that, I let blogging take to the back burner so that I could focus all of my attention on shooting and editing. I am so excited to finally have found an amazing work flow that helps me get images out faster, and be able to have time to blog all those lovely images I am taking + editing! I am going to be taking some time now over the next month to catch you up on all that 2015 for me with so many wonderful weddings and sessions.
James and Stephanie were one of my very first weddings of 2015. I still had my old camera and a different way of editing, so it’s kind of crazy to look back and see how much I’ve grown just within one year. In 2015 I challenged myself to be the best that I could be with what I had. I continued to push past boundaries and grow as a photographer in a few different ways – posing, lighting, editing, knowledge, and equipment. Even though these images remind me of how far I’ve come, I still am so in love with them. Mainly because of this couple. I mean, just look at them! The minute I saw Stephanie’s gold/champagne wedding gown I knew I would be swooning all day long. And the sunset/rooftop images? Just stop. I get goosebumps all over again just looking at them!
These two newlyweds are best friends and that is obvious to anyone who gets the chance to be around them. They’re a kind, generous, BEAUTIFUL and fun duo that I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to meet and photograph. The ceremony was held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, and their reception followed at The Yorktowne Hotel. The Yorktown Hotel was so full of bright, natural light which was such a dream. We ended the evening up on their rooftop, marveling at the skyline and warm cream/blush tones hazing the sky. I am just in love with the shots we grabbed dup there! I think I am going to let these images speak for themselves..

YOU GUYS. Julia, Tori and I have some big new’s we’ve been waiting anxiously to share. We are beyond excited to announce our new super exciting collaboration and team member. Kelsey Courtney of Style By Rae is officially the Meagan Nicole Photography team stylist!!! WHUUUUT. Shut the front door. No really, it’s true! Kelsey is an extremely talented stylist in all facets and we are so excited to mesh our love for capturing authentic moments with beautiful style crafted to fit your personality.
I’ve known Kelsey ever since 10th grade in high school. We both quickly bonded over the fact that we were the only girls in school who admittedly used a tanning bed. Ever since I’ve loved watching Kelsey evolve in her style; she’s always been one of my go to’s for social media style stalking (just to be honest). Even more exciting then her amazing style joining our team is the fact that she’s an expecting mama for the first time!! Follow her along on IG with her #ourbabycourtney updates, you won’t regret it. Although you might come down with a heavy case of baby fever and jealousy that this girl can rock just about anything with that bump.
We’ve been scheming up way’s to make the MNP experience even better for all of our clients, so when Kelsey contacted us with the idea we instantly knew this is what we were looking for to take MNP to the next step. This will now provide clients with the option of outfit styling, makeup/hair styling AND location styling. Whose ready to jump aboard the awesome train!? We’ve perfected a ton of new options and packages for you to choose from and we can’t wait to get started. Style By Rae is officially available to book, but dates are filling up fast (and I’m not just saying that). We want to get everyone in so please make sure to email us asap to get your date on the calendar! Side note, another awesome side fact: Kelsey’s husband is a can’t-keep-your-butt-in-your-seat rocking DJ and owns The Electric Gentlemen who we highly, highly recommend for any of you engaged love birds out there. Is this just the dream team or what..

“ Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved clothes! I would change my outfit three times a day and I would turn my room into a make believe consignment shop! This passion continued as I began working in retail when I was 16 years old. My first retail job was at Bakers Shoes were I was trained in selling and styling. My love for styling grew as I moved onto working at the LOFT, where I was elected style captain of our store’s team! I was responsible for creating fashion inspiration for the LOFT employees and helping them style our clients!
Several years ago, I began an Etsy shop called, That Cat Dress, where I friend and I thrifted vintage, eclectic, and high-end clothing. It was so much fun searching for unique styles to sell in our shop! To this day, one of my favorite things to do is thrift vintage items and mix them in with my modern wardrobe!
I’ve been following style bloggers for years and I’ve gained so much inspiration from many of them that I decided to start my own style blog! I finally took the leap and launched my blog, Style By Rae, in May of 2015. My main goal with my blog is to show trendy styles at an affordable price! – Kelsey “
Favorite Make-Up Choice: My go-to make up product is my Urban Decay Naked Flushed palate! It’s a trio compact that includes a bronzer, blush, and highlight! It’s so easy to throw in my bag and it looks beautiful on your skin during every season!

I met Derek and Amanda a few weeks ago at Middlecreek for their engagement session and we even snuck in some cute family shots with their son, Dylan. The lighting was so on point I couldn’t stop myself from geeking out after each shot. This little family was so down to earth, kind hearted and just plain fun to be around. Can’t wait for their wedding this August! Enjoy a few of my favorites!

Matt and Ariel are two of the funnest, sweetest, cutest couples I’ve ever met. This was one of those sessions that I just couldn’t put my camera down! I love when my job allows me to push past “the normal”; when I can feel myself enter into a place of creativity flooding my being. It’s such an amazing feeling and I’m so honored my clients choose to let me in their life for special occasions to create special memories. It’s not just about the actual pose or photograph. It’s about how you felt when taking that photograph. The smells, the songs you favored that time in your life, the feeling of laughing and kissing the one you’re in love with, newly engaged preparing for your wedding, all those kinds of things. And then I get to step in and document creative photographs to embody that time in your life, for you to look back on and always remember those memories. AH. It’s so awesome.
This session was one that completely re-motivated and inspired me last year and has me so excited for all of my 2015 weddings and couples. Matt and Ariel instantly felt like friends and were just so darn photogenic. Though it’s super hard to choose, I think my favorite shot is the black and white holding hands image. Which is yours!?

This blog post has been a long time coming. Dylan and Nina are two of my oldest and closest high school friends. To hear more about their high school sweet heart story click here to view their engagement session. Nina and I planned our weddings two weeks apart, it was so much fun! Literally all of my girl friends and I got married together last year and it made everything so memorable. So many coffee dates at barnes and nobles, looking through wedding magazines, planning out what all we could share decor wise, and helping one another make our visions come to life.
Dylan and Nina’s wedding was one of a kind, elegant, whimsical and so beautiful. Their venue “Regents Glen Country Club – Box Hill Mansion” was breathtaking! A tall waterfall, acres and acres of field and trees and gardens; a cool breeze and a golden sunset with pink and gold decor to top it all off. I just can’t even.
One of my favorite moments of this day was when Nina’s maid of honor Courtney delivered a letter from Dylan before the ceremony. Low and behold, Dylan surprised Nina by fulfilling her life long dream of getting a PUPPY. Yes, this groom got his bride a puppy as a wedding gift. WHAT. It was pretty epic, and Nina’s reaction was priceless; full of tears, shock, smiles and happy dancing.
Nina shared a first look with her bridesmaids + her father, both which were emotional and adorable. This magical day was filled with lots of happy tears and special moments. I am so excited to finally be sharing it with you all!

Photographing Kyle and Abby’s wedding provided MUCH emotion, laughter, pretty details, warm sun and a lot of great memories to kick off our first wedding of the season. It was also the first wedding my team member Tori shot with me! We had a blast bouncing ideas off of one another and road-tripping to William Penn Inn. Pretty sure we filled an entire page on twitter with hilarious moments from the day, some of my favorites were:
“I don’t think I’ve ever heard “shots, shots, shots, SHOTS, SHOTS, shots” played/danced to so loudly in my life”- meg; “Dear coat-check lady at William Penn, @toriradick and I love you.”-meg (she literally was the sweetest ever);“No matter what, when shooting a wedding and a groomsmen asks how old you are… Always say 12.”-tori (because it never fails, they always ask you to dance with them); “Ring-bearer upfront, mid-ceremony: “abbbby, are ya nervous?” #priceless -meg; “To the man sitting in the car next to us, pick your nose and eat it once, I’ll let it go. Pick your nose and eat it twice…”-tori; “I still can’t get over the fact that I witnessed a grown man, pick his nose and eat it. Twice. In open public. #amurica -meg ….
Kyle and Abby were so sweet. Some of my favorite moments to their day was Abby’s little ways of incorporating her Father into their special day. She had his ashes in her necklace, a piece of his favorite shirt sewn into her dress, and a photo of him attached to her flower bouquet. The whole day was so sentimental and special. Some other favorite moments was Kyles reaction when he first saw Abby coming down the isle; the way he cried in memory of Abbys father as if it was his own father; Abby and Kyles sweet dance moves when they were announced into the receptionp; and Kyles luring dance for Abby during the garter game. haha. It was an all around FUN day of happiness, and fun evening of celebration. (:
Enjoy a peek into the beautiful wedding of two beautiful people!
