It’s been a long, long time since I’ve shared a wedding on here! I had a full 2017 season, most of which never got published because life took over with a new baby and a house renovation and all the things. But now that I’m getting back into the swing of things and hoping to book a few weddings for 2019-2020, I figured I’d make the I’M BACK announcement by finally blogging a few of my favorite weddings that I never got to share with you!
I’m kicking it off with Joe + Rachel’s warm August wedding day. It was a celebration of not only a marriage, but a family becoming one. Joe took in Rachel’s son as his own and read vows to him during the ceremony, ending with the sweetest embrace and wet eyes all around. It was so special being a part of this day. The way Joe and Rachel included Alex was just so neat to see.
Every detail was so effortless + beautiful, from the dress to the florals, to Joe’s amazing blue suit. If you’re looking for some great Summer wedding inspo – look no further!

Holy moly, it’s been a hot second since I’ve blogged! Let’s be real, it’s been like a year. WHOOPS. It feels so good to be back in action + updating my new site for you all! I wanted my first post of the new year to be our behind the scenes from our recent wedding season.
Reflecting back on all that the Lord has done in 2017 brings me to tears. First off we had the best intern/second shooter EVER and she goes by Morgan but I like to call her the sweetest dang thing since sliced bread. Morgan went above and beyond this year, tackling her first time photographing weddings like a pro. She fluffed dresses, held bags and more bags and phones and memory cards and flower bouquets (sometimes all at once – you’re the real mvp Mo), pinned on boutonnieres, got me drinks when I was about to pass out from the heat (not really, but really) and sooo much more. Morgan has morphed into this phenomenal, confident, assuring, helpful, eager wedding photographer and it has been the biggest blessing getting to play a small role in that.
2017 wrote the final chapter to an amazing journey. I’ve managed and grown with a team for almost 5+ years, and now going into 2018 I decided to scale down and go back to the roots of being an independent photographer. Julia has been with me since 2014 when she started out as an intern, and here she was in 2017 photographing her third full wedding season as a lead associate. I couldn’t be prouder of my girls + all of the memories and growth we experienced together.
Looking back over these images CRACKS me up. From testing locations/lighting, mirror selfies + selfies with the groomsmen.. it’s been a good year. From my first day back not knowing what the heck to wear to accommodate all of the pumping I’d be doing and feeling so swollen from nursing (literally so embarassed by that first outfit/hair choice. Black, always wear black Meagan.) to getting the hang of this mom life + work life down to a system and feeling like I could conquer the world. So dramatic, but so true. But really, I love seeing the evolvement that we’ve each gone through over the year.
We want to thank EVERYONE who hired us and entrusted us in 2017 to document some of your most treasured moments for you. We have been so humbled, honored and blessed to meet so many amazing clients turned friends.
Now, what you really came here for.. enjoy laughing with us.. or at us.. we won’t judge.

After photographing Joe and Courtney by their local park in Brooklyn, NYC for their engagement session last year I could not wait for their wedding day! These two are effortlessly photogenic and in love. They compliment one another (literally + figuratively) so, so well. Their truly best friends! I really don’t even know what else to say about them because that literally wraps it up to a T! I just, adore them as a couple. 🙂
They made their wedding day their own, celebrating with all of their closest family and friends. Courtney did DIY for her center piece arrangements + florals. Seriously, drooling over them. They had a traditional catholic mass for their ceremony and held their reception and super fun dance party at Riverdale Manor. The rain didn’t hold these two or their wedding party back from making it a day to remember. This will forever be one for the books!

Harvest View Barn has quickly become one of the most popular venues around town and I love every opportunity I get to photograph at it. Larry and Kate tied the knot on a chilly September afternoon. I love that my job involves me meeting and photographing all different types of people and couples and relationships, each one as unique as the next. Larry and Kate are fun loving and down to earth and you just get the sense that they are being totally genuine with you! It was such a great day to be a part of. 🙂

William and Anni are two of the kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of photographing! They’re both so fun and full of life. Listening to all of their stories and adventures from their dating relationship had everyone at the reception smiling ear to ear. These two were destined for one another and for greatness! They live life to the fullest and light up the room they’re in and the people they’re with.
Their wedding was held in Lock Haven, PA at the “1900 Red Barn”. The view was breath taking! Anni infused the entire wedding with accents of her favorite color red. At the reception the groomsmen graced us all with a hilarious dance to whip + nae nae, then broke out in karaoke/lip syncing battles. The evening ended with a beer race, and Anni was oh so close to winning but William’s brother stole the show (quite proudly, as you’ll see below). Ha!
Enjoy a few of my favorites from their wedding day!

I’ve realized I haven’t shared any weddings on here in awhile, and I think today is the perfect day to change that! I photographed Daniel and Gillians wedding this past Summer at the gorgeous Colonial Pines in Lewisburg, PA. I can’t stop feeling giddy over this day. The location, the weather, the lighting, the details, the gorgeous greens. This was one for the books!
The entire day was very laid back yet elegant feeling. I can’t stop tearing up at Gillian’s first look with her father. His expression and reaction was so priceless. Those are the types of moments we live for as photographers. As we wrapped up the first look and portraits before the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a “pre” cocktail hour of sorts. The entire front lawn held white high top tables, vintage sofas and chairs scattered through out, an open bar, lemonade/iced tea station and a big open front porch. As family and friends mingled, laughter and happiness could be heard for miles.
After the ceremony, the string band began playing and cocktail hour resumed. After just a few more photo ops, Daniel and Gillian were able to join their guests to mingle and be merry! A total perk of having a first look and getting most all of your photos in at the beginning of the day (venue/weather allowing) is that you’re able to relax after the wedding and enjoy most of your “happy hour”. We also snuck out during the end of the reception which was timed perfectly for some sunset portraits. Daniel and Gillian are so, so sweet together and compliment one another perfectly. It was such an honor to be a part of their love filled day!

You know how when you’re so excited about something that you sit on it for awhile because you want it to be perfect? That’s me with this blog post. This wedding was one of those monuments moments in my career that I will always look back on and remember fondly.
Seth and Jenn both live in Las Angeles, California. Seth is a budding actor who has been featured in multiple movies; you can view his impressive resume HERE. Jenn is a producer for Fly On The Wall Entertainment, and a story producer for L. Plummer Media, she has also been a producer for TLC, VH1, Ugly Brothers Studio, Lighthearted Entertainment, T Group Productions and many others. What the what! I know. When Jenn first emailed me back in 2014, I couldn’t feel my face. I had the pleasure of meeting with them at Tomato Pie while they were in town visiting with her family and we hit it off right away. They both have such out going, fun personalities and it’s no wonder Seth is an actor because he could probably make any one laugh at any given moment. And they actually wanted to hire ME. Me!? Jesus was getting loads of thank you’s sent His way. I was counting down the days to their wedding! On October 10th, 2015 these two tied the knot.. and guess what! They’re now expecting their first little bundle of joy this Fall! What better time to finally share this special day with you all. 🙂
Seth and Jenn met in college at Point Park University. Jenn grew up in Millersville, PA which is why they decided to have a wedding on the more intimate scale here in the rolling hills of Lancaster, PA. These guys are just the most genuine, kind hearted people and attract others and make friends so easily. Not going to lie, knowing that these two have so many connections and friends in the business, like Adam Sandler, cough, cough, my team member Julia and I may have been holding out for a appearance like lame fan girls. But Seth and Jen kept their wedding more intimate with local family members and friends, as well as a few close friends who flew in from LA for the affair. It was prrrrobably the most epic dance party Julia and I had ever witnessed.
When Julia and I first arrived, Seth was building the wooden arbor which later was decorated in tons of flowers, lace, greens, and antlers. It was gorgeous! Jenn had her something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue in toe. Her something old/borrowed was antique brooch’s pinned onto her bouquet from grandmother’s down the line. There were so many terrific details to this wedding day. Both the grooms brother and the brides sister made up the entire bridal party which was so sweet.
Seth and Jenn had family do the task of marrying them at their ceremony who added in funny little side notes, stories and quotes personalized to the couple. I think it was a Dr. Seuss quote that got the whole crowd erupting with laughter and smiles. Seth and Jenn said “We just wanted the whole day to be fun and US.. not stiff and traditional”. You guys accomplished that perfectly! The entire day as a perfect reflection of their happy go lucky relationship. During the ceremony Seth and Jen hammered closed a beautiful wooden keep sake box which they placed hand written letters in to open at their first big fight (or maybe it was at their one year anniversary – my pregnancy brain seems to fail me these days)! They incorporated both mothers into the ceremony by doing a mother/child candle lighting. After the ceremony we headed out for the most gorgeous sunset/golden hour and captured some of my ALL TIME favorite bridal and groom portraits. Seriously, I’m still drooling. The reception concluded with beautiful toasts, prayers, stories, cake and lots and lots of dancing.
I am so excited to fiiiinally share this special wedding with you all!

The Farm At Eagles Ridge has quickly become one of my favorite wedding venues! I’ve had the opportunity to photograph here multiple times, and every time I find new things that I love about it. The farm house to get ready in has such great natural light, big open spaces, and the staff is so friendly and helpful!
Jonathan and Jenna were the sweetest couple; so kind and so endearing. They compliment one another perfectly! Despite the clouds and forecast of rain on their wedding day, they were shinning bright in their photos. We couldn’t keep these two from laughing and smiling, which was awesome. And as luck would have it, the sun came out for the most glorious sunset to end the evening! Also, Can we just take a moment to swoon over Jenna’s florals!? The colors and flowers were so beautiful.
It’s been so fun catching up on blogging a few of last seasons weddings! It’s almost sad when my time with each couple comes to an end, so it’s super fun getting to relive the memories and day here. I have one 2015 wedding left to post and it’s gonna be a big one. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for all of the new content coming your way!
Until then.. | Meagan
I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Steven and Sarah’s wedding day October 3rd, 2015. You may recognize these two cuties from their engagement session which we also photographed right around their wedding venue “Baldwin’s Station & Pub” located right in the heart of downtown Sykesville, Maryland. Their wedding day held such an intimate, small town feel with all of their closest friends and family in attendance. The bridal party consisted Steven and his brother, and sarah and her sister! So special. The venue was the perfect fit for this day, allowing for a laid back, mingle and be merry atmosphere. The ceremony lasted all of 5-10 minutes, and the reception was filled with glasses clinking and laughter that could be heard from outside of the building. This wedding was on the smaller scale, so we had so much fun spending most of our time together photographing their first look and bride/groom portraits which we shot right along the train tracks that sit right behind the venue. A train even rolled by right on time a few minutes after the ceremony ended. Perfect timing.
Words can’t express how perfect Steven and Sarah are for one another. They’re truly best friends, always making one another smile. The comfort level between them comes through these images perfectly, and that makes me giddy because I just love when I’ve been able to truly capture a couples authentic emotions and interactions.

When Joe and Courtney first booked me for their September, 2016 wedding, I could just sense something special about them. They met at the top of the Prudential Center in Boston. It was at the beginning of their freshman year at Northeastern University and during their “Intro to Architecture” class trip. Since then they have graduated twice, lived in three cities, studied abroad, ran two half-marathons, traveled to seven countries, saw five Broadway musicals, attended twenty-five baseball games, and have visited five amusement parks. Two thousand, seven hundred, and thirty-six days later, they’re tying the knot!
Joe and Courtney are both architects and currently live in the heart of Brooklyn, NY. When they told me how important photos were to them and that they wanted to do their engagement session at a local park they frequent often, I couldn’t contain my excitement! My lovely mom made the best road trip buddy, and we spent the morning in Brooklyn laughing our faces off at my driving through Tines Square, eating the most delicious local bagel sandwiches, and ended the evening with Joe and Courtney showing us their favorite pizza shop which did noooot disappoint! It was seriously the best day.
Joe and Courtney were so effortless to photograph. Literally, I’m not even sure if I posed them at all!? They are naturally in love, which made for naturally happy looking photos! I still can’t stop smiling like a doof at my computer screen over their adorable chemistry and relationship.
I had too many favorites to count so, enjoy!!
