I’ve realized I haven’t shared any weddings on here in awhile, and I think today is the perfect day to change that! I photographed Daniel and Gillians wedding this past Summer at the gorgeous Colonial Pines in Lewisburg, PA. I can’t stop feeling giddy over this day. The location, the weather, the lighting, the details, the gorgeous greens. This was one for the books!
The entire day was very laid back yet elegant feeling. I can’t stop tearing up at Gillian’s first look with her father. His expression and reaction was so priceless. Those are the types of moments we live for as photographers. As we wrapped up the first look and portraits before the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a “pre” cocktail hour of sorts. The entire front lawn held white high top tables, vintage sofas and chairs scattered through out, an open bar, lemonade/iced tea station and a big open front porch. As family and friends mingled, laughter and happiness could be heard for miles.
After the ceremony, the string band began playing and cocktail hour resumed. After just a few more photo ops, Daniel and Gillian were able to join their guests to mingle and be merry! A total perk of having a first look and getting most all of your photos in at the beginning of the day (venue/weather allowing) is that you’re able to relax after the wedding and enjoy most of your “happy hour”. We also snuck out during the end of the reception which was timed perfectly for some sunset portraits. Daniel and Gillian are so, so sweet together and compliment one another perfectly. It was such an honor to be a part of their love filled day!

You know how when you’re so excited about something that you sit on it for awhile because you want it to be perfect? That’s me with this blog post. This wedding was one of those monuments moments in my career that I will always look back on and remember fondly.
Seth and Jenn both live in Las Angeles, California. Seth is a budding actor who has been featured in multiple movies; you can view his impressive resume HERE. Jenn is a producer for Fly On The Wall Entertainment, and a story producer for L. Plummer Media, she has also been a producer for TLC, VH1, Ugly Brothers Studio, Lighthearted Entertainment, T Group Productions and many others. What the what! I know. When Jenn first emailed me back in 2014, I couldn’t feel my face. I had the pleasure of meeting with them at Tomato Pie while they were in town visiting with her family and we hit it off right away. They both have such out going, fun personalities and it’s no wonder Seth is an actor because he could probably make any one laugh at any given moment. And they actually wanted to hire ME. Me!? Jesus was getting loads of thank you’s sent His way. I was counting down the days to their wedding! On October 10th, 2015 these two tied the knot.. and guess what! They’re now expecting their first little bundle of joy this Fall! What better time to finally share this special day with you all. 🙂
Seth and Jenn met in college at Point Park University. Jenn grew up in Millersville, PA which is why they decided to have a wedding on the more intimate scale here in the rolling hills of Lancaster, PA. These guys are just the most genuine, kind hearted people and attract others and make friends so easily. Not going to lie, knowing that these two have so many connections and friends in the business, like Adam Sandler, cough, cough, my team member Julia and I may have been holding out for a appearance like lame fan girls. But Seth and Jen kept their wedding more intimate with local family members and friends, as well as a few close friends who flew in from LA for the affair. It was prrrrobably the most epic dance party Julia and I had ever witnessed.
When Julia and I first arrived, Seth was building the wooden arbor which later was decorated in tons of flowers, lace, greens, and antlers. It was gorgeous! Jenn had her something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue in toe. Her something old/borrowed was antique brooch’s pinned onto her bouquet from grandmother’s down the line. There were so many terrific details to this wedding day. Both the grooms brother and the brides sister made up the entire bridal party which was so sweet.
Seth and Jenn had family do the task of marrying them at their ceremony who added in funny little side notes, stories and quotes personalized to the couple. I think it was a Dr. Seuss quote that got the whole crowd erupting with laughter and smiles. Seth and Jenn said “We just wanted the whole day to be fun and US.. not stiff and traditional”. You guys accomplished that perfectly! The entire day as a perfect reflection of their happy go lucky relationship. During the ceremony Seth and Jen hammered closed a beautiful wooden keep sake box which they placed hand written letters in to open at their first big fight (or maybe it was at their one year anniversary – my pregnancy brain seems to fail me these days)! They incorporated both mothers into the ceremony by doing a mother/child candle lighting. After the ceremony we headed out for the most gorgeous sunset/golden hour and captured some of my ALL TIME favorite bridal and groom portraits. Seriously, I’m still drooling. The reception concluded with beautiful toasts, prayers, stories, cake and lots and lots of dancing.
I am so excited to fiiiinally share this special wedding with you all!

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Steven and Sarah’s wedding day October 3rd, 2015. You may recognize these two cuties from their engagement session which we also photographed right around their wedding venue “Baldwin’s Station & Pub” located right in the heart of downtown Sykesville, Maryland. Their wedding day held such an intimate, small town feel with all of their closest friends and family in attendance. The bridal party consisted Steven and his brother, and sarah and her sister! So special. The venue was the perfect fit for this day, allowing for a laid back, mingle and be merry atmosphere. The ceremony lasted all of 5-10 minutes, and the reception was filled with glasses clinking and laughter that could be heard from outside of the building. This wedding was on the smaller scale, so we had so much fun spending most of our time together photographing their first look and bride/groom portraits which we shot right along the train tracks that sit right behind the venue. A train even rolled by right on time a few minutes after the ceremony ended. Perfect timing.
Words can’t express how perfect Steven and Sarah are for one another. They’re truly best friends, always making one another smile. The comfort level between them comes through these images perfectly, and that makes me giddy because I just love when I’ve been able to truly capture a couples authentic emotions and interactions.

On September 26th, 2015 TJ and Allison became one in the happiest of celebrations I’ve ever been a part of. The entire day was filled with tons of smiles, laughter, kindness, random dance moves, happy tears, and just the sweetest people alive. The first time I’d ever met TJ and Allison was at their engagement session earlier in the year, but while I was capturing the wedding day I felt like I was witnessing two dear friend tie the knot and take the next big step in their journey together. Maybe it was seeing TJ so emotional over his stunning bride, but my eyes were peeing all day long. Also, I am obsessed with their color scheme! The dark/soft blues mixed with the pops of orange.. so beautiful!
Two really fun details to this day were the wooden boxes TJ got all of his groomsmen, each filled with a bow tie, suspenders and a pocket square. Each box was personalized with it’s own design/each groomsmen name on the front corner. TJ and Allison also love playing tennis together, so they thrifted some antique tennis rackets and incorporated those into some of their portraits (and the venue even had a tennis court which couldn’t have been more perfect to complete the photos)!
I am seriously so in love with this couple, this wedding, and these images so I am going to let the photos tell the rest of story and speak for themselves..

I have been jumping in my seat with anticipation ever since I photographed James and Caroline’s wedding last Summer to share these images! This was a pretty big wedding for me for a few reasons. It was my first wedding of the 2015 season that I got to use my new camera (which has since, changed my life. Dear canon 5D mark iii, you’re a game changer)! It was also the first wedding I had booked in 2014 for one of my larger packages, heyo! Julia, who was my intern in 2014 became my team member in 2015 and second shot this dream of a day with me! It was the first wedding we shot together after Julia’s wedding last year, so it was an all around happy day!
This was my first time photographing at White Chimeys Estate and I can’t say enough good things about the staff + this venue. The lighting in each room was so amazing, the property opportunities are endless and gorgeous and the staff was super friendly and happy to help whenever and where ever needed! Brides, if you’re still on the hunt for a venue make sure to check them out!
Caroline’s dress was from BHLDN, basically the prettiest store ever to exist. Stacia from Petals With Style NAILED it with the florals. The blush/cream color combos mixed with the warm summer sun and deep green grass/foliage was beyond perfect for James and Caroline’s romantic, whimsical day. And that flower crown! Man. It deserves all of the heart eyes.
James and Caroline have been together more years than the fingers on your hands can count. They are the peanut butter to one another’s jelly, the milk to the oreo cookie, the.. well you get the picture! They sharpen one another, compliment one another in all of the right ways and now, they complete each other. It was such a beautiful love commitment to be a part of. And they’ve even just shared some pretty big and stinkin’ exciting news! James and Caroline are expecting their first child!!! This babe is bound for some gorgeous locks, breathtaking eyes and the sweetest of souls. Everyone in James and Caroline’s family made Julia and I feel so welcomed and special. They were all so kind and just.. happy! It was the most joyous of days down to the every last element and detail. Also, holy dancing. This was prrrobably the biggest dance party I had been a part of! They weren’t messin’ around. There were so many personable elements through out the reception that made it feel so fun and entertaining and the least bit stiff or boring. One of my favorite parts was when James surprised everyone and popped his head out from under Caroline’s dress three times (during the garter game) and had three different masks and “characters” on each time, HA! It created a loud roar of applause from their guests. These two made their wedding day very “them” and it was priceless.
I’ll stop swooning over this day and finally let you swoon for yourself over the images! Enjoy!

This is a pretty exciting blog post for me to share because it is of our team member Julia!!! Before Julia was a part of Meagan Nicole Photography, and before I even knew her lovely soul existed, she hired me as her wedding photographer in 2013! Shortly after her engagement session, Julia applied for our 2014 Summer internship. Needless to see she was awesome and we asked her to be a part of our team full time! Julia had her first year as an official team member with us in 2015, but that wasn’t the even the highlight of the year for her. I’m pretttttty sure the highlight would have been.. ya know.. GETTING MARRIED! It was such a special occasion getting to photograph this beautiful couple (finally!!) after having the chance to build relationship with them and becoming team members with Julia. 🎉
It was so great to see all of Julia’s hard work and planning come to life. Nate and Julia have such a neat story which made all the emotions of their day even more heightened and special. It was such a blessing to be their photographer and capture these memories for them! After joining the married club, Julia began photographing her first wedding season! Getting married always brings such a depth to the work we are doing as wedding photographers. There are so many parts through out the day that tug on our hearts and give us a better understanding of the importance in what we are capturing.
I knew how excited Julia was about Nate’s “Vera Wang” grey suit, so when I shot Nate’s portraits I immediately rejoiced out loud “Julia is going to LOVE these. It’s so vera!”.. haha. Once Nate saw Julia and told her what I said about his portraits, Julia was geeking out and bubbling with excitment – “It’s so Vera” quickly became our go to slogan through out the day, ha! Also, Bring On The Bash was Nate + Julia’s DJ and let me tell ya, he surely brought the bash! I would highly recommend Taylor to any brides currently in need of a wedding DJ. Anything Beyonce is Julia’s jam, so the minute her songs came on the dance floor lit up! It was great.
Enjoy taking a look into our team member Julia’s wedding day!
Leave Julia some love in the comments below, or if you’re a current bride-to-be in search of a budget friendly photographer, click on the “contact” tab and inquire with Julia for her current availability. You can count on the fact that if you play beyonce at your wedding, she’ll bust out some dance moves. 🙂

2015 was a bit of a crazy year for me with bookings. I was so blessed to be the busiest I have ever been with photography and because of that, I let blogging take to the back burner so that I could focus all of my attention on shooting and editing. I am so excited to finally have found an amazing work flow that helps me get images out faster, and be able to have time to blog all those lovely images I am taking + editing! I am going to be taking some time now over the next month to catch you up on all that 2015 for me with so many wonderful weddings and sessions.
James and Stephanie were one of my very first weddings of 2015. I still had my old camera and a different way of editing, so it’s kind of crazy to look back and see how much I’ve grown just within one year. In 2015 I challenged myself to be the best that I could be with what I had. I continued to push past boundaries and grow as a photographer in a few different ways – posing, lighting, editing, knowledge, and equipment. Even though these images remind me of how far I’ve come, I still am so in love with them. Mainly because of this couple. I mean, just look at them! The minute I saw Stephanie’s gold/champagne wedding gown I knew I would be swooning all day long. And the sunset/rooftop images? Just stop. I get goosebumps all over again just looking at them!
These two newlyweds are best friends and that is obvious to anyone who gets the chance to be around them. They’re a kind, generous, BEAUTIFUL and fun duo that I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to meet and photograph. The ceremony was held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, and their reception followed at The Yorktowne Hotel. The Yorktown Hotel was so full of bright, natural light which was such a dream. We ended the evening up on their rooftop, marveling at the skyline and warm cream/blush tones hazing the sky. I am just in love with the shots we grabbed dup there! I think I am going to let these images speak for themselves..

This blog post has been a long time coming. Dylan and Nina are two of my oldest and closest high school friends. To hear more about their high school sweet heart story click here to view their engagement session. Nina and I planned our weddings two weeks apart, it was so much fun! Literally all of my girl friends and I got married together last year and it made everything so memorable. So many coffee dates at barnes and nobles, looking through wedding magazines, planning out what all we could share decor wise, and helping one another make our visions come to life.
Dylan and Nina’s wedding was one of a kind, elegant, whimsical and so beautiful. Their venue “Regents Glen Country Club – Box Hill Mansion” was breathtaking! A tall waterfall, acres and acres of field and trees and gardens; a cool breeze and a golden sunset with pink and gold decor to top it all off. I just can’t even.
One of my favorite moments of this day was when Nina’s maid of honor Courtney delivered a letter from Dylan before the ceremony. Low and behold, Dylan surprised Nina by fulfilling her life long dream of getting a PUPPY. Yes, this groom got his bride a puppy as a wedding gift. WHAT. It was pretty epic, and Nina’s reaction was priceless; full of tears, shock, smiles and happy dancing.
Nina shared a first look with her bridesmaids + her father, both which were emotional and adorable. This magical day was filled with lots of happy tears and special moments. I am so excited to finally be sharing it with you all!
